From Pixels to Photos: My Photography Journey & Everything That Came After
Fifteen years ago, I picked up a camera and started capturing whatever caught my eye. I had no plan, no grand vision—just curiosity and a love for visuals. That was the start of my photography journey. But if you know me, you know I can’t stick to just one thing.
Coming from a gaming background, I was already deep into digital worlds, playing, modding, tweaking—basically figuring out how things work just to push them further. That same mindset led me into photo editing, design, coding, AI, and eventually, full-on creative projects that mixed everything together.
I’ve gone through phases, laying photography down for a while as I explored other creative spaces. But now? I’m back, ready to take on any kind of project, and bringing everything I’ve learned along the way.
Where Photography Took Me
Photography was never just about taking pictures. It was the gateway to everything else. At first, it was just about learning how to shoot properly, how to frame a shot, how to get the light right. But the real fun started in editing.
I spent years working with Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, fine-tuning every photo, experimenting with colors, dodging, burning, and pushing images until they looked exactly how I wanted. It wasn’t just about fixing photos—it was about making them feel alive. That obsession with details is what pulled me into design, video, and eventually, AI.
At some point, I realized I wasn’t just editing anymore—I was creating. And from there, everything opened up.
The Tools & Projects That Shaped My Work
The Photography & Editing Phase
For years, Lightroom and Photoshop were my go-to tools. Every session ended with hours of editing, adjusting tones, sharpening details, and making sure every image looked right. That’s how BMihai Studio was born—a space where I could bring photography into different fields like portraits, food, real estate, and events.
But I didn’t stop at traditional photography.
The Tools That Shaped My Work (AKA, How I Ended Up Using Everything)
It all started simple—just me, a camera, and Lightroom and Photoshop. I’d spend hours editing, tweaking colors, and questioning my life choices every time I zoomed in too much. That’s how BMihai Studio came to life—photography was my thing, and I was all in.
But, of course, I couldn’t just stop there.
At some point, I discovered AI tools like MidJourney, Stable Diffusion, and Leonardo AI, and suddenly, I was generating art, remixing ideas, and wondering if I was still a photographer or some kind of digital wizard. That’s when I started playing with AI-generated designs and somehow ended up building The Unique Project—because why not turn AI art into something people can actually wear?
Then, because still images weren’t chaotic enough, I got into video editing with After Effects and Premiere Pro. It turns out making things move is just as addictive as freezing them in time, so naturally, I started using Runway ML and Luma AI to push things even further.
And then, because apparently, I don’t know how to chill, I started building websites with Framer, setting up automation with Zapier, and integrating Shopify for e-commerce. At this point, I might as well have picked up coding, but let’s not go there (yet).
Long story short—I started with photography, then just kept adding more tools to my workflow like a kid collecting new game mods. And now? I use a mix of photography, AI, video, design, and automation to bring ideas to life. Basically, if it’s visual and creative, I’m messing with it.
Why I Stepped Back—And Why I’m Back Now
At some point, I laid photography down. Not because I didn’t love it, but because I was exploring other things—AI, design, coding, video, all of it. I wanted to understand how everything connects instead of just sticking to one lane.
But the truth is, photography has always been at the core of everything I do. It’s the foundation that led me into every other creative space, and now I’m bringing all of it back under one roof.
Now, I’m not just shooting photos—I’m building full creative projects. From traditional photography to AI-enhanced visuals, web design, automation, and video storytelling, I’m ready to take on anything that excites me.
BMihai Studio is back—and this time, it’s more than just photography.
